Extended Metal Family Tree in News

So some of you may have seen a post i put up a week ago (ish) about a metal family tree / timeline and what i have been fooling around with since is coming up with a way to extend this to include all the lesser known sub-genres as well as all the fusion genres that abound. What i quickly found was that there was no way to show these 70+ genres without the diagram getting completely and utterly complicated. Please cut me some slack with the following image if you find it difficult to follow! The associated article for this image and the metal family tree / timeline post i did recently is still on its way, but with Christmas and the enormous storms that ripped our roof off yesterday among other things i haven’t had a lot of time to sit around writing articles!
