I personally got introduced to them by a work colleague when their first album was released but you're right, Christian's vocals are outstanding on so many levels and it was a shame to see him leave. To be honest i havent listened to any of their stuff since his departure (only due to not following them religiously and not staying tuned in to current releases as much as i maybe should) but will have to check them out again as they have a new album being released Friday week (April 15th, 2011). Such a shame that he left because the combination of his voice and the rest of the band was perfect. Even though their next album without Christian Älvestam musically is great, just not hearing the same vocals is shattering. If you like this album and love Christians vocals you can also look into the band "Solution .45" which Christian joined after parting with Scar Symmetry.
